Pottery

At the Pottery Village, we saw the potter make variety of pots. All of different kinds.First he would hold the sides of the clay on the spinning wheel, and shape it upwards. Then, he used his thumbs to make the circular shape of the pot. Normally, the potter would the pots on fire after making them, but, since we had were leaving the next day, we directly got the pots. The reason the pots get their color is because the iron in these pots oxidizes and becomes red, which causes the pot itself to become red

Diary entry as a Wild Dog

Today it’s my day for hunting, I’ve just come out from my territory and I’m terribly waiting to eat some fresh tasty meat. But what I really prefer is, a humongous tiger or Sāmbhar deer . I’m walking through the forest, along the lane, and I hear warning calls made by the languor to the deer signaling there’s danger. I walk a few more steps and here it is….. a Sāmbhar deer. Just beside it, there was an enormous, deadly looking gum tree. Therefore, I turned to see the languor sitting on tree, which was communicating with the deer, and before I changed my direction the Sāmbhar deer was gone. I  enraged, without further delay I called out my group. They all gathered at once, I explained the situation to them and as a team we came up with spectacular strategies to trap the deer. All my friends positioned their selves at different corners. The deer was in our control and now there was no chance of the deer escaping. Bamn, as always we succeeded, I bit into it when it was alive, within a few more minutes it was dead. Actually all the credits go to my group. We are always hunting in packs that make us better predators. No doubt we have have quick-witted minds.

Visit to village school

The visit to the  local village school was remarkable .Interacting with the younger kids, who experience a lower lifestyle, and struggle daily to come to school and do work, was amazing.I felt  so good seeing them all having smiles. Talking to them and learning more about their daily routine helped me understand, that there are so different from us .Therefore,it gave me the idea of how much they exert everyday as compare to the people on the richer side. But at the same time we also shared are experiences of live and a little bit about our culture. Lastly,to share a bit of  joy together we  played expeditious games with them like chain, catch and cook etc.Last but not the least, this visit will always stay memorable for me.

Food Chain

While we were in our safaris,we heard a lot of warning calls from deers, birds and langurs. We didn't actually see tigers eating or killing the the deer , nonetheless the guide in our gyp told us about its food chain and what type of animals  does he like eating etc.

Physical Activities

We all had gone for a extensive nature walk. It was pretty taxing but at the same time we got to see tiger claw marks and different species of birds etc. On the other hand we also had to get up at 4:45 am everyday!...The TREASURE HUNT was very irritating and annoying cause we were all sprinting around to find clues as we were overwhelmed with idea of getting the treasure. Therefore ,this created a lot of noise pollution!!!

Distance we travelled in Pench

Most probably we travelled about 5 to 6 km to the  Pench Tiger Reserve .We took about 10 mins from our hotel to the get there. I think we travelled about 100-125 km as we were in the tiger reserve for 4 hours every day.

Location

This is where we all went for our trip and indeed the experience was fun.
